Greetings Family,

Ponder these thoughts from the author of the book, “Discerning The Voice Of God”.

“The Holy Spirit is to us what the control tower is to an airplane pilot. The Spirit’s ability to see what we cannot see, and then communicate information to us based on His knowledge, provides us with insight we could never obtain through onboard instruments alone. “ (Page 38); Author: Priscilla Shirer}

For this week (May 14 through May 20), we beseech you (once again) to ‘pray aloud’ and meditate on the prayer themes and the scripture verses on giving, trusting, and believing.

Just where it states, (Fill-in Name), make it personal by adding your name. Then repeat the process twice more, praying for another person or group or committee or church or family member. While it may seem un-conventional, we are simply asking you to trust and engage.

If possible, let's pray together during the 7am morning hour, 7pm evening hour or 12:00 noon time-frame.

Prayer Themes and Scriptures

  • Believe, God has the answers
    • Exodus 35:21a (NLT)
      • (Fill-in Name), 21 All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings to the Lord.
    • Luke 6:38 (NIV)
      • (Fill-in Name), 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
  • Believe, God has the answers
    • 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NLT)
      • (Fill-in Name), 6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
  • Believe, God has the answers
    • Proverbs 3:5-6 (NRSV)
      •  5 Trust in the Lord (Fill-in Name), with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
6 In all your ways (Fill-in Name), acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
  • Believe, God has the answers
    • Ephesians 3:20-21 (KJV)
      • (Fill-in Name) 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
  • Believe, God has the answers
    • Revelation 5:12 (GOD’S WORD Translation (GW))
      • (Fill-in Name) 12 In a loud voice they were singing, “The lamb who was slain deserves to receive power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise.”
  •  Sunday School Lesson (5/20th) – Remembering with Joy
    • Leviticus 25:1-12 (NKJV)
      • 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the Lord. 3 Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; 4 but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard. 5 What grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a year of rest for the land. 6 And the sabbath produce of the land shall be food for you: for you, your male and female servants, your hired man, and the stranger who dwells with you, 7 for your livestock and the beasts that are in your land—all its produce shall be for food. 8 ‘And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. 9 Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. 10 And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family. 11 That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee to you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of its own accord, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine. 12 For it is the Jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat its produce from the field.
