Dear Allen Temple Family,

As we all strive to grow spiritually and to enhance our ATBC Pastoral Transition Prayer focus, we are humbly asking every member to join together in prayer and meditation for the next twenty-one (21) days, centering around these three (3) themes and seven (7) suggested biblical scripture references.
Very simply stated:

  • Divine Discernment
    • Philippians 1:9-11 (NIV)
      • 9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
    • Psalm 119:66 (NIV)
      • 66 Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands.
    • Colossians 3:16 (NIV)
      • 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
  • Church Family Unity
    • 1 Corinthians 12:27 (KJV)
      • 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
    • Ephesians 4:4-7 (KJV)
      • There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
    • Romans 12:4-5 (ESV)
      • For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
  • The ‘Fruit of the Spirit’
    • Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
      • 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

God Bless!!!
