Allen Temple Health and Social Services Ministry – Serving 400 to 500 individuals each year
Allen Temple Housing and Economic Development Corporation – Addressing the critical economic and housing issues facing East Oakland residents. ATHEDCO developed and now operates and maintains five low income housing developments for seniors and persons disabled due to HIV/AIDS.
East Oakland Building Healthy Communities Steering Committee – Working collaboratively with families/residents, CBOs, policy makers and other faith-based organizations to complete a nine-month planning process for a 10-yr. initiative sponsored by The California Endowment.
East Oakland Community Basketball League – Intramural league play for 6-8 teams, in the Family Life Center Gymnasium.
Head Start Program –Full-time, comprehensive child development program fosters social skills and school readiness in children (three to five years old) from low-income families in East Oakland.
Leadership Institute at Allen Temple – Offered in collaboration with American Baptist Seminary of the West and Patten University, the Institute provides a two-year, part time course of study in Christian Ministry focused on leadership development in the church and community.
NBA Players Association – Each year the Association provides food for our Feeding Program. NBA players are on hand to help serve up to 5,000 people.
Oakland Unified School District – On-going partnership with the New Highland Academy includes referrals to the Hi-Rise Tutorial program and assistance preparing children in the Head Start Program for admittance to the school.
