JAT Would Thou

July 6, 2026

Good Day Allen Temple Family,

God be praised for yesterday's glorious time of worship. It's hard to believe we are already in the seventh month of the year.

Since the beginning of the year, each month has been centered around a single word, each one helping us answer our the question posed by 2026 theme: What does it mean to live triumphantly through Christ

In January, we focused on the importance of being Connected, reclaimed our Identity in Christ, embraced Freedom, celebrated our Access to God's presence through the resurrection, sought Transformation by the Holy Spirit, and prayed for Wisdom to faithfully navigate everyday life.

This month, our focus word is Integrity.

When many of us hear the word integrity, we think about honesty or doing the right thing. While that is certainly part of it, July invites us to think more deeply. The word integrity speaks to wholeness—a life that is undivided, where our faith, our character, our words, and our actions are brought into alignment under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

This understanding sheds new light on the question Jesus asked a man who had been waiting for healing for thirty-eight years: "Do you want to be made whole?" (John 5:6).

It is a question for each of us.

Do we desire more than appearances? More than religious activity? Do we desire lives that are whole—where what we believe, what we say, and how we live reflect the power and presence of Christ in our lives?

Living triumphantly through Christ is in essence a journey toward wholeness.

Our anchor text for this month is Psalm 24:3–4:

"Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, who do not lift up their souls to what is false, and do not swear deceitfully."

Throughout July, reflect on four dimensions of integrity:

Week One – Clean Hands: Integrity in Our Actions
Psalm 24:3–4; Micah 6:8; 1 John 2:3–6; Proverbs 10:9

Week Two – Pure Hearts: Integrity in Our Motives
Psalm 51:10; Proverbs 4:23; Matthew 6:19–24; Hebrews 4:12

Week Three – Truthful Living: Integrity in Our Words and Witness
Ephesians 4:25–32; James 3:1–12; Proverbs 12:22; John 8:31–32

Week Four – Whole Lives: Integrity as a Way of Life
Colossians 3:17; Philippians 1:9–11; 2 Corinthians 8:21; 1 Timothy 4:12

My prayer is that, as we meditate on these passages together - as we lift them in our ministry meetings, rehearsals and devotional teachings, that the Holy Spirit continues the work of making us whole so that we might truly live triumphantly through Christ.

Blessings and Triumph to You!
