The goal of the Health Education Ministry is to increase the health, mental and spiritual well-being of the Allen Temple Church Family and the East Oakland Community.

We meet the 1st Monday of the month via Zoom
The objective of our ministry is to educate and empower our church and community with positive health maintenance attitudes. We accomplish this by emphasizing positive attitudes towards health, increasing knowledge of preventive health practices, and providing biblically based tools to assist in comprehensive self-care. The Health Education Ministry also works with the homeless in our community.
Every August, we host a holistic health fair for the community. Participants receive valuable health information and resources, access to social service providers, a children’s area, free food, clothing, haircuts, backpacks, raffles, and music.
