The goal of the Allen Temple Development Corporation (ATDC) is to provide safe, quality, affordable housing in the Oakland community. We operate Allen Temple Arms I, II, III and IV in compliance with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and California Housing and Finance Agency (CalHFA) standards. These communities are managed by American Baptist Homes of the West (ABHOW) as an expression of Christian Mission. They seek to enhance the independence, well-being and security of older people through the provision of housing, health care and supportive services. The communities are located in an urban setting near shopping, restaurants and postal service. Public transportation is within walking distance from each facility.

To be eligible for an apartment at one of the facilities, the minimum age for residence is 62 years or older. We welcome disabled individuals with a preference for those with living with HIV/AIDS. Currently each facility has a waiting list that is open to accept applications. To apply simply stop by one of our facilities and pick up an application or call and one will be sent by mail.
